Melesa is the youngest of House Clegane, at seven-and-ten. She is a beautiful girl with long dark hair and gentle features, with green eyes that shimmer with excitement. Despite her heritage, she is of average size for a woman of her age. The girl has always had a sense of wonder and excitement about the world, stemming from her solitary placement on Clegane land.

History[]

Melesa was the last of the Clegane children to be born, as her mother Joan Westerling became ill shortly after her birth and died within a couple years. Shortly after, when Melesa was six, her father and brothers went off to fight in the First Targaryen Rebellion, with Desmond and his brother the only ones to return.

With the lack of a father and mother, upbringing of Melesa largely fell on the eldest, Desmond, and her sister Johanna. She did not become acquianted with her second brother long enough before he left for King's Landing to take his vows of the Kingsguard. As such, her relationship with Desmond is very fond, and though Johanna was largely relegated to disciplinary action, the sisters share an ubreakable bond.

Current Events[]

400 AC.[]

Upon learning that there was to be a Tourney in Seagard that her brother Desmond would attend, Melesa begged for him to take her. Her sibling relented, and agreed.

While journeying to Seagard for the Tourney, the Cleganes and their wagons were ambushed in their sleep by a group of bandits. They told her of their plans to rape her, but before they could slay Desmond, one of the bandits betrayed the rest by causing a distraction. Melesa took advantage and killed the man preventing her from speaking in order to wake her brother, the first person she had killed in her life. Despite her unease, she elected to continue on rather than return to Clegane's Keep.

Since the ambush and killing one of the bandits, Melesa had been uncharacteristically quiet and reserved. However, the events of the Tourney seemed to have brightened her spirits, at least enough to take her mind off things.
